Background and experience
Aster Coaching & Development was founded by Ros Jahnke, an experienced and qualified professional coach, coach supervisor, trainer and mediator, with many years’ cross-sector business experience. She has also been head of coaching at a charitable trust since 2012, leading and training coach teams, developing strategies and programmes, and working closely with other organisations in shared learning partnerships.
Ros’ professional background has given her a valuable understanding of the wider context in which coaching operates, and a good insight into the challenges and opportunities that arise within business and in life generally.
Ros has an approachable and informal yet professional style with an intuitive and creative approach.
She works with deep insight to help clients cut through complexities, enabling them to see things from a different and clearer perspective, within a supportive and confidential environment.
Ros invites clients to stay true to their values and beliefs as they make changes within their personal and professional lives.
Ros specialises in executive, team and personal development coaching and conducts both 1-1 and group coach supervision. She also creates and facilitates coaching and mentoring skills workshops, and coach masterclasses, and aims to make them enjoyable and informative.
She relates well to people at all levels, having worked successfully with CEOs, senior and operational staff, and individuals within the wider community from a variety of different backgrounds and disciplines.
Ros has a particular interest in helping people to raise their confidence and self-esteem, empowering them to make choices that may have previously seemed impossible.
Ros holds a post-graduate diploma in Coach Supervision from Leeds Beckett University, and an ILM Level 7 Diploma in Executive Coaching and Mentoring. She is also an AoEC qualified Team Coach and ACAS qualified Mediator.
